Guillermo has 15 years of experience in the tax area. He is part of the tax team in Central America and of transaction advisory (mergers and acquisitions) team in New York.
Guillermo has experience in local and international tax planning, in the design and implementation of multi-jurisdictional transactions, corporate and investment structures. As part of the transaction advisory team, he has worked in due diligence processes, tax reviews and transaction planning with private equity firms, hedge funds and other investors.
Guillermo holds a law degree from the University of Costa Rica and has a technical degree in Financial Administration from the same university. He holds a master’s in international law from New York University (NYU), where he was a Fulbright scholar.
