Asaf Jiménez specialises in banking and finance with particular focus on project finance transactions in the electricity sector, where he has represented developers, investors and financial institutions. His M&A practice also relates mainly to transactions in such sector. Asaf has substantial experience in financing transactions involving state and municipal governments, providing advice to debtors, creditors and credit rating agencies. Asaf has led the firms’ practice in infrastructure projects under the federal public private partnership scheme.
Career: Joined Ritch Mueller in 2000, promoted to counsel in 2014, and became partner as of 2018. Law degree (with honours) from the National Autonomous University of Mexico (2002) and master's degree (LLM) from the University of Virginia School of Law (2006). Participated as foreign associate in the projects and energy group of Clifford Chance US LLP, at the Washington, DC office (2006–2007).
