Partner and head of the intellectual property practice group, which includes IP, competition, franchise, life sciences and entertainment law. He is a lawyer from Pontifical Xavierian University, with a graduate degree in commercial law from the University of los Andes and a master’s degree in public administration in Speyer, Germany. He has more than 22 years of professional experience, has been professor for more than 10 years in IP and antitrust law. As partner of Gómez-Pinzón, he represents several national and multinational groups, providing advice in the administration of worldwide IP portfolios, and in Colombian antitrust regulations.
His intellectual property practice is focused on advising Colombian and international companies in the definition of protection strategies, in the administration of worldwide IP portfolios, in structuring innovation strategies, in the definition of exploitation strategies of IP rights, and in the negotiation of licensing and franchising agreements.
