Alfredo Rodríguez Mahuad is a founding partner at Consortium Legal – Guatemala, director of its tax practice and head of the practice in corporate law including, international investment law and entrepreneurship.

In his 34 years of work experience, Alfredo has served as counsel to financial, utilities, telecommunications, infrastructure, technology, beverages and transportation, mining, real estate, security and pharmaceutical companies, among others, in matters that include corporate taxes, mergers and acquisitions, private equity investments, financial transactions, foreign investments in Guatemala and Guatemalan investments abroad. He has also advised individuals and family groups in terms of tax planning and estate planning.

He is a member of the review commission of the Central American Convention for the Protection of Industrial Property Guatemala (1989); and since 1994, he has been member of the member of the Tax Commission, Comité Coordinador de Asociaciones Agrícolas, Comerciales, Industriales y Financieras.
