Alejandro Sainz leads the insolvency and restructurings practice group and leads the mergers & acquisitions practice group of Cervantes Sainz. He represents and provides legal advice to national and multinational clients in a broad range of transactional matters, providing legal advice in the areas of corporate, finance and commercial law, including reorganisations, restructurings and workouts, bankruptcy and cross-border insolvency procedures (concursos), sale and acquisition of distressed assets and securities, corporate finance, mergers & acquisitions, foreign investment, joint ventures, infrastructure, real estate and telecommunications transactions.
Mr Sainz is the author of multiple articles and publications in transactional, corporate and insolvency matters. Among others, he was selected by Latin Lawyer and Chambers and Partners to contribute to the Mexico chapter of Restructuring.
He is member of the Mexican Bar Association, International Bar Association, American Bar Association and Iberoamerican Institute of Insolvency Matters.
Mr Sainz has postgraduate studies from Universidad Panamericana, Escuela Libre de Derecho, Harvard Business School and Harvard University, and a JD degree from Universidad Panamericana.
