Born in Montevideo, Uruguay, in 1968. Educated at University of Uruguay School of Law (Doctor in Law and Social Sciences). Professor of corporations and corporate finance, legal framework of corporate finance and business law, ORT University, School of Business and Social Sciences (1998–2004); professor of mergers & acquisitions and of commercial contracts at the School of Law, University of Montevideo (2014 to date). Professor of commercial contracts (2015 to date). Member of the Uruguayan Bar Association and the International Bar Association. In his connection to the arts, Cerruti is the Uruguayan member of the Latin American Art Subcommittee of the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston, Texas, and is Vice-President of the Francisco Matto Foundation as well as of the Julio Alpuy Foundation. Speaks Spanish and English.
