Matthew is based in New York and São Paulo and is regarded as a highly skilled adviser to clients on strategically important cross-border corporate finance transactions in the United States and Latin America.
Matthew has worked extensively in Latin America, including on significant cross-border transactions advising Marfrig Global Foods, Banco do Brasil, Carlos Alberto Solarte Solarte (CASS), Bioceres and Falabella. In addition, he regularly advises financial institutions such as Bank of America Merrill Lynch, Citi, JP Morgan, HSBC and Santander in debt and equity capital markets, banking and project finance transactions. Matthew also provides SEC-disclosure and reporting advice to foreign private issuers.
Matthew, fluent in Spanish and Portuguese, was recognised as a leading individual by Chambers Latin America 2018 and “Up and Coming” in the Brazil: international category. He has been recognised in The Legal 500 Latin America and US 2017 and the 2014–2017 editions of IFLR 1000.
