Isabel Franco was admitted in Brazil (OAB São Paulo, 1979; OAB Rio de Janeiro, 2003), licensed Under New York Law as legal consultant (1996). She received her LLB from the law faculty of the University of São Paulo (1978) and her master's in International Law (LLM) from Fordham Law School (1996). From 1988 to 1990 she was a foreign associate with Freshfields, in Hong Kong. In 2001, she was chair of the Section of International Law at New York State Bar Association, in New York. From 2001 to 2008, she was a counsellor at American Bar Association – International Law section. From 2003 to 2007, she was on the board of directors and from 2003 to 2005 she was legal counsel of the American Chamber of Commerce (AMCHAM), in São Paulo. In 2009 she was a rapporteur of Ethics and Discipline Tribunal (TED) at Brazilian Bar Association (OAB/SP). Her practice areas are corporate law, mergers & acquisitions, contracts, compliance and FCPA.
