Mr Silva concentrates his practice on banking and finance, M&A and projects mainly in the infrastructure and energy areas. His experience covers a broad range of financial transactions, including syndicated loan facilities, debt restructurings and project financings, with an emphasis in the infrastructure and energy sectors. He has advised several energy and infrastructure developers and financial institutions (structuring and financing) borrowers, sponsors and investment funds in financing and M&A transactions, both locals and cross-border.
He worked at Sherman & Sterling, New York. He obtained his law degree at the University of Chile and graduated with an LLM from Duke University Law School. He was admitted to the Chilean Bar in 1995.
He is on the legal committee of the Chilean-British Chamber of Commerce.
