Ms Barahona specialises in banking and financial matters with particular emphasis and expertise in domestic and cross-border syndication and project finance, including energy, infrastructure and natural resources. Her experience also includes debt restructuring and local and international bond placements.

She worked as a foreign associate in Allen & Overy LLP, New York, US (2007–2008), obtained her law degree at the Catholic University of Chile Law School (1998), and graduated with an LLM (Master of Laws) from the University of Chicago School of Law (2007). She was admitted to the Chilean Bar in 2001.
