She handles cases involving complex negotiations with the government, as well as definition of business strategies. She participates on matters requiring high sensitivity and attention to detail in decision making, ranging from execution of contracts with the state, analysing business reorganisation or changes in business. She directs teams handling public contracting and migration issues, and collaborates with the tax and transfer pricing department.
She graduated as attorney from Pontificia Catholic University of Ecuador (2006). She holds a diploma in corporate governance law from the Technological Institute of Monterrey, a diploma in international taxation and transfer pricing from University ESAN of Lima, a specialisation in international taxation from University of Santiago de Compostela, and a diploma in business administration from INCAE, among others. She was professor of Company Law at Ecuador International University (2008–2009). Leads the Ecuadorian Chapter of the International Fiscal Association (IFA) and is part of the Vance Center Women in the Profession International Steering Committee.
Paola has also collaborated with national non-profit entities and international NGOs in their relations with the government. Speaks Spanish and English.
