Mrs Mata joined Mijares, Angoitia, Cortés y Fuentes, SC in 2001 and has been a partner since 2015. She has broad experience in energy, project finance and banking. She regularly advises both sponsors and lenders in all aspects of projects, structured and corporate finance across the energy, infrastructure and other sectors. She has also participated in several public bidding processes for public concessions and contracts. Ms Mata is one of the most active participants of the firm's energy practice.

Likewise, Pilar has been involved in several antitrust filings made before the Mexican Antitrust Commission and in many legal proceedings regarding monopolistic practices and prohibited concentrations.
