He has extensive experience in the energy, transportation and infrastructure, financial services, media, and telecommunications sectors, representing clients in the United States, Europe and Latin America.
He has represented companies such as Advent International, AT&T (SBC Communications), Brookfield Asset Management, Citigroup Global Markets, Cosan SA Indústria e Comércio, Crédito Real SA de CV, Fluor Corporation, GIC Special Investments (Government of Singapore Investment Corporation), Group 1 Automotive, Hyatt Hotels Corporation, Intesa Sanpaolo SpA, Itaú-Unibanco, Oi (Telemar), Reuters Group PLC, Schneider Electric Industries SAS, and Verint Systems Inc.
Wade has advised Citigroup Global Markets in numerous matters including its role as financial advisor to Redecard SA in connection with the US$5.8 billion tender offer for Redecard by Itaú Unibanco, Vivo Participações in connection with its $639 million corporate restructuring, and in the $790 million acquisition of Laboratório Neo Quimica Ltda by Hypermarcas SA. Prior to joining Jones Day, he represented Advent International in its acquisition of the Dominican airport operator, Aeropuertos Dominicanos, Siglo XXI, which International Financial Law Review listed as the 2008 Private Equity Deal of the Year for the Americas.
Wade is a frequent speaker on cross-border M&A and private equity, has authored articles on private equity and M&A, among other topics, and has been a guest commentator on CNBC. He is a member of the board of directors of the Brazilian-American Chamber of Commerce.
