Rafael Alcázar is founder and main partner at the firm and he is also head of our banking and finance practice area. He graduated in law from the University of Lima and holds a summa cum laude LLM from Belgium's Leuven Catholic University. He has also undergone a specialised programme at The Hague Academy of International Law and at the Practicing Law Institute in NY.
His fields of expertise are focused on financings, capital markets and regulatory matters; mainly regarding financing transactions, legal counsel to domestic and/or cross-border loans to financial and non-financial companies, including complex security package structures. Legal counsel to issuers/placement agents/arrangers on public offering transactions (bonds, commercial papers, IPO, among others) in national and international markets. Regulatory advice (procedures and counsel in general) before the Peruvian regulator to domestic and foreign banks, financial institutions, insurance companies, among others.
