Rolando Laclé Zuñiga is a partner at Consortium Legal – Costa Rica and focuses his practice in mergers and acquisitions, foreign investment, real estate, civil and commercial litigation. He was nominated by Latin Lawyer magazine as one of the 40 best attorneys under the age of 40 in Central America (2006) and by Chambers Global as one of the leading lawyers in Costa Rica.

Mr Laclé Zuñiga attended Georgetown University, Washington DC, where he received his law master’s degree (Fulbright scholar) in 1994.

During his career, he has served as president of the International Center for Conciliation and Arbitration (2009–2011) and member for seven years; as legal adviser of Abel Pacheco, former President of Costa Rica. He is a member of the board of directors of Citibank, Costa Rica; and member of the board of directors of Comidas Centroamericanas SA (Pizza Hut – Costa Rica).

He has participated in local and international transactions in regards to securitisations, acquisitions of local companies, getting banking licences, bidding processes in telecommunications, real estate transactions and other projects. Mr Laclé Zuñiga is member of the Costa Rican Bar Association and International Bar Association.
