Cristina is specialised in antitrust and competition matters and has 20 years of experience in Mexico and abroad, both in the public and private sectors, in areas ranging from corporate transactions and capital markets, to economic and administrative law, including antitrust.
Her experience includes handling merger control procedures, design and implementation of strategy, compliance and training programmes for major companies, lobbying and advice and representation of clients in investigation proceedings (cartel behaviour, abuse of dominance and barriers to entry, including applications to the leniency programme).
She is a former Commissioner of the Mexican Antitrust Commission and held other high-ranking positions as a public official in Mexico. She also worked in private practice abroad (Cleary Gottlieb, in their New York and Hong Kong offices) and in Mexico at Protego (now Evercore Partners).
She obtained her law master’s degree (LLM) from Harvard Law School and is admitted to practise in New York.
