Gustavo Giay was made a partner of the firm in 2003. He specialises in intellectual property litigation.
His practice has focused on trademark litigation and he has extensive experience in advising businesses and individuals on matters related to managing intellectual property portfolios, including contractual and licensing agreements. He also advises on internet law and assessment on legal and contractual questions in new and developing technologies.
He has an LLM from Northwestern University in Chicago, Illinois, and completed a postgraduate course on intellectual property at the University of Palermo, Buenos Aires. He is a frequent lecturer on intellectual property law and currently serves as professor on trademark law at the Centre of Intellectual Property of the Universidad Austral in Argentina.
He is a licensed intellectual property agent and a member of INTA, the Argentine Association of Industrial Property Agents, the International Association for the Protection of the Industrial Property and of Licensing Executive Society.
