Main areas of practice
Energy and natural resources: Norton Rose Fulbright in Colombia has represented international investors in M&A and financings for some of the most important oil and gas and mining projects over the past years. Our legal advice has included the structuring of investments as well as divestments of Colombian assets in a tax-efficient manner, while providing future flexibility to create joint ventures and spin-offs. We have advised clients on their corporate equity and debt financing issues and assisted their participation in public and private bids. Our office also deals with regulatory, compliance and environmental issues.
Corporate/M&A: Our Bogotá office has expanded into international aspects of major M&A transactions for its clients. We advise on acquisitions, financing and development of projects and related regulatory matters, including corporate structures, foreign investment and privatisations. In complex cross-border business transactions, the Bogotá office may call upon the legal capabilities of our other international offices.
