Cuatrecasas is an international law firm present in 12 countries. With a team of highly specialist lawyers, we advise on all areas of business law and industries.
We work with a new approach to client service, combining collective knowledge with innovation and the latest technologies to offer contemporary, efficient advice and to provide solutions to the most complex situations, creating value for the client, the team and the environment.
Through our 27 offices worldwide, our desks and country-groups, we connect regions through a model that offers the best team for each case, depending on the jurisdiction, specialty area and complexity required.
We have a strong focus on Latin America, where we have been working for over 20 years and recently increasing our activity substantially. We have expanded our presence in the region to meet the needs of inbound Spanish and outbound Latin American investment.
We have a strong presence in Mexico, Colombia and Brazil. In Mexico, we have our own full-service office operating since 2016, the result of many years advising local and international clients in the country. The current team there includes around 30 lawyers, and their main areas of expertise are energy, M&A, finance and international arbitration. In Colombia, we maintain a strategic alliance with Posse Herrera Ruiz, enabling us to have a permanent team in Bogota collaborating with lawyers from the Colombian firm.
Our New York office is a bridge to Latin America and keeps a close relationship with our local teams in Mexico and Colombia and with the Latin American Desk, guaranteeing global coverage in America and giving us a key role in advising international investors in the region.
In addition to its desks and offices in international locations, Cuatrecasas has organized its international practice in a matrix structure of country-specific groups: lawyers from different practice areas and offices who share knowledge and experience of a specific jurisdiction.
Our clients include international or Iberian holdings investing in the region, and Latin American companies expanding their business through the region and Europe, as well as on their day-to-day basis in their countries.
