Latin Lawyer recorded 166 Brazilian M&A deals that were signed and announced between March and December 2019. When counting only public values, the combined deal value of signed and announced deals was over US$100 billion.
Fewer Latin American law firm associates feel positive about their salaries than they did a few years ago – and for good reason, as many pay packages are not rising above inflation. But despite meagre economic growth putting paid to increases, more associates rate their wages positively than negatively.
Some 150 Latin American and international law firms have helped companies in the region raise more than US$200 billion through nearly 800 debt and equity capital markets deals throughout 2018, according to Latin Lawyer data.
