Rio de Janeiro passes new law aimed at combatting bribery in public-private partnerships
A new law which requires companies who do business with the state government of Rio de Janeiro to implement a compliance programme has been welcomed by the Brazil's legal community as a step forward in tackling corruption, but some say the law is unlikely to be successful without the commitment of the local private sector.
