M&A activity in Brazil steady despite macroeconomic setbacks
Brazilian M&A activity for 2014 has been largely unaffected by politics and slow economic growth, said lawyers at Latin Lawyer’s 5th Annual M&A Conference last week in São Paulo, with good long-term prospects for investors eager to take an active role in boosting profits in the companies they invest in – but panelists remained divided over whether US, European and Asian investors can expect to compete equally with their Latin American counterparts.
