Chilean electricity producer earns reprieve in hydroelectric project dispute
A tribunal at the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) has refused to order a Chilean subsidiary of AES to post bonds worth US$73 million pending an arbitration over a hydroelectric power plant. The tribunal has simultaneously overturned a decision by an emergency arbitrator that required the company to hand over certain documents.
