Brazilian components retailer launches IPO

Brazilian electrical components retailer Intelbras has hired the São Paulo offices of Paul Hastings LLP and Trench Rossi Watanabe to raise 1.1 billion reais (US$210 million) in an IPO on the B3 stock exchange.

Brazilian private equity investor Vinci Partners has called on three Davis Polk & Wardwell LLP offices and local firm BMA - Barbosa, Müssnich, Aragão to raise US$250 million in an IPO on the Nasdaq stock exchange, valuing at the higher end of the price range.

Rede D’Or São Luiz makes Brazil’s third largest IPO

The New York and São Paulo offices of Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP and Pinheiro Guimarães in São Paulo have helped Brazilian private hospital group Rede D’Or São Luiz raise 11.4 billion reais (US$2.2 billion) in an initial public offering, which is the third largest in Brazil’s history.

Milbank in New York and São Paulo and Brazilian firm Mattos Filho, Veiga Filho, Marrey Jr e Quiroga Advogados have helped local oil company 3R Petroleum raise 600 million reais (US$115 million), in what is the first Brazilian IPO in the oil and gas sector in nearly a decade.
