Guatemala fails to halt action to confirm arbitration award
A US district court has ruled that an action to confirm a US$21 million Dominican Republic–Central America Free Trade Agreement (DR-CAFTA) award against Guatemala can proceed, rejecting the state’s argument that an International Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes (ICSID) ad hoc committee had annulled the entirety of the award.
