Ecuador’s Hydrocarbon Secretariat resolves first dispute
Pérez, Bustamante & Ponce Abogados has helped the Pegaso oil consortium reach an agreement with the Republic of Ecuador in a technical arbitration procedure over payments owed by the government – in the first ever use of the binding expert opinion clause of the new service contracts after the country reformed its hydrocarbons law last year.
