Camilo Martinez is the managing partner of DLA Piper Martínez Beltrán and head of the corporate/ M&A, banking and finance and litigation practices of the firm.
He has vast experience advising national and international companies from various industries with important multi-jurisdictional transactions.
One of his main sectors of action is the local and foreign securities market, where he has headed the issuance of stock and bonds at the Colombian Stock Exchange and issuance of bonds under the 144A rule, abroad.
Mr Martinez has also led some of the country’s most significant transactions in dispute resolutions, banking and finance, corporate law and M&A, for what he has been recognised by different rankings such as Chambers and Partners, The Legal 500 and Leaders League, among others.
Camilo joined DLA Piper Martínez Beltrán in 2003 and has been a partner since 2009. He is a graduate of Georgetown University (LLM), of University of Los Andes (postgraduate degree in financial regulation) and Pontifical Xaverian University (law degree, JD equivalent) in Colombia.
Camilo is admitted to practise law in Colombia and in the state of New York.
