Costa Rica avoids damages in mining dispute
A divided International Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes (ICSID) tribunal has held Costa Rica liable in a third-party funded claim worth almost US$400 million brought by a Canadian gold mining company, while declining to award any damages.
