A recent focus of the department has been raising awareness of LGBT issues, which saw the firm assist on legal matters associated with a collective LGBT wedding in São Paulo. The firm also supports several programmes providing assistance to students from black or minority ethnic backgrounds. In 2019, the firm helped the United States Agency for International Development set up a non-profit organisation in Brazil to invest in social development and education projects. Trench Rossi has also engaged in a project in partnership with the University of Brasilia to provide legal support for victims of domestic violence.
