Brazilian law firm Mattos Filho, Veiga Filho, Marrey Jr e Quiroga Advogados has advised WebForce Networks in the sale of the Brazilian free-hosting site HpG to iG, one of the largest Brazilian internet service providers. HpG, solely owned by Webforce, ranked as the fourth biggest site in Brazil. As a result of the acquisition iG Group is now second in terms of receiving hits from unique visitors in Brazil, according to Ibope eRatings. iG Group was advised by the Brazilian law firm Ulhôa, Canto, Rezende e Guerra - Advogados.

Law 43 of July 31 of this year regulates electronic commerce, documents and signatures in Panama, as well as the services provided by certification entities, and the use of these means in the formation of valid commercial transactions. This legislation is primarily based on both the UNCITRAL Model Law on Electronic Commerce and UNCITRAL Model Law on Electronic Signatures.
