Canadian buyer takes on bankrupt Uruguayan fish company
A judge has given preliminary approval for Canadian fishery Cooke Aquaculture’s acquisition of bankrupt Uruguayan fish processor Frigorífico Pesquero Uruguayo (FRIPUR), the largest company ever to undergo the public tender procedure established for distressed companies in Uruguay’s bankruptcy law.
