Brazil's Vale do Rio Doce sells Bahia Sul
Brazil’s Companhia Vale do Rio Doce (CVRD), the world’s largest iron company, and its subsidiary companies Florestas Rio Doce SA (FRD) and Itabira Rio Doce Company Limited (ITACO), have sold their stake in Bahia Sul, a paper and pulp group. Fifty per cent of voting shares were bought by Companhia Suzano de Papel e Celulose (Suzano). Suzano is being advised by Fabio Eduardo P Spina, Jose Carlos P Masago and their team of attorneys.
