Roland Pettersson joined D’Empaire as a partner in 2019, focusing on the practices of financing, insolvency and restructuring, and oil and gas. He is very active academically on the topic of Venezuela’s sovereign debt restructuring, including a publication in Oxford University Press’s Capital Markets Law Journal (‘The transfer of Venezuela’s oil assets to a successor entity and fraudulent conveyance’, Vol. 14, No. 4, October 2019) and is currently completing INSOL International’s fellowship programme. Roland is the sole Venezuelan member of the prestigious International Insolvency Institute and is also a member of INSOL International, the American Bankruptcy Institute and the Turnaround Management Association.
