Katherine Yesquen is principal associate of the natural resources: energy and hydrocarbons practice area. She has significant experience in power generation, power purchase agreements, international public tenders, due diligence in the energy sector, operation of the National Interconnected Electric System and transportation of natural gas. Previously, she was an associate at LQG Energy Group, internal legal adviser of the Economic Operation Committee of the National Interconnected Electric System COES SINAC, and Deputy Legal Manager of Luz del Sur SAA.

In the academic field, Katherine has been professor of constitutional law at the Law School of Universidad del Pacífico. She has a master’s degree in energy law from the University of Aberdeen, Scotland (2015, with commendation), a diploma in energy law from the Peruvian University of Applied Sciences (2009) and gained her attorney at law qualification at the Pontifical Catholic University of Peru in 2010.
