Juliana Costa Carvalho

Juliana Costa is an associate in the energy and natural resources practice of Campos Mello Advogados in cooperation with DLA Piper.

Her experience is focused on advising Brazilian and foreign companies in regulatory matters, M&A transactions and projects involving the energy industry in Brazil. Her experience includes contractual assistance on onshore and offshore oil and gas operations, draft and analysis of concession contracts, production-sharing contracts, JOAs, farm-in and farm-out, charter contracts and drilling contracts, as well as midstream and natural gas transportation contracts.

Juliana’s expertise is also focused on the analysis of Brazilian legislation on renewable energy and participation in the national current discussions regarding offshore wind energy and carbon market regulatory framework. Her experience in regulatory also comprises government relations interfacing with legal bodies responsible for the energy sector such as the Ministry of Mines and Energy and The National Agency of Petroleum, Natural Gas and Biofuels (ANP).

Juliana has earned his bachelor’s degree (LLB equivalent) from Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ) and she is a member of the Young Committee of the Petroleum Brazilian Institute (IBP).
