José Quiñones has extensive local and international experience in advising foreign financial institutions in structured finance deals, bond offerings in international capital markets, cross-border transactions, tax implications, mergers and acquisitions and complex project finance deals involving local and foreign banks, and financial institutions and borrowers.
He has acted as director to financial institutions, insurance and surety companies and is frequently engaged for advice in complex insurance and reinsurance disputes.
He leads the firm’s compliance practice, actively advising corporations in implementing effective compliance and governance programmes and leading the team of experts who provide assessment, consulting and training. José has participated in ISO committees on anti-bribery, sustainable procurement, compliance and governance and leads a non-profit organisation’s anti-corruption section assisting the business in adopting international compliance standards.
