José Ignacio Morán is a partner of the Dentons office in Santiago. He is the global mining and natural resources leader, and he is a member of the Global ESG Steering Committee. José Ignacio’s practice focuses on environmental and natural resources, specialising in water law. He has extensive experience in administrative proceedings and specialised litigation. Likewise, he provides strategic advice to various companies in their relationship with communities and indigenous people and making sustainable investment decisions under the ESG criteria. He advises a wide range of clients, including mining, energy, industrial and agricultural companies.
In recent years, José Ignacio has assisted on environmental and natural resources issues some of the large and most complex mining and energy projects in Chile, which involve an investment of more than US$20,000 million.
