João Guilherme Thiesi da Silva is an associate in the corporate reorganisation and bankruptcy practice at Pinheiro Neto Advogados. His practice focuses on the representation of debtors, creditors, investors and creditor committees in connection with judicial and out-of-court reorganisation, as well as distressed investments and financings. He has been involved in some of the most noteworthy restructurings in Brazil over the past few years, including the judicial reorganisation proceedings of Oi SA, Odebrecht SA and Abril Comunicações SA, and the pre-packaged reorganisation of Odebrecht Engenharia e Construção SA. He holds an LLB degree from the São Paulo Law School of the Getúlio Vargas Foundation (FGV Direito SP) and was a visiting international JD student at Columbia Law School.
