Ignacio has recent and relevant experience in infrastructure and transportation projects, concessions, and procurement of public services by different governmental entities and through various procurement procedures.
He has advised multilaterals, international lenders, and developers assess the bankability and feasibility of projects, as well as their structuring and financing. He has also participated in relevant local and cross-border transactions, such as acquisition and sale of companies with operations in several countries, shareholders’ agreements involving multi-jurisdictional corporate structures, asset purchase transactions and transactions related to financing and securitization.
Ignacio has acted as counsel in national and international arbitrations with seat in Guatemala. Over the last few years, he has been a Board member at CRECIG, one of the principal arbitration centers in Guatemala. He has also intervened in proceedings before international courts.
His practiced is complemented by a strong knowledge and experience in administrative law, constitutional law, and public procurement.
