Erica Sarubbi has extensive experience in Compliance and Anti-Corruption issues in Brazil and internationally. Represented numerous Brazilian and international multinationals in cases focused on anti-corruption, leading complex investigations with ramifications in several jurisdictions, including the investigation, reporting to local and international authorities and negotiating the terms of the agreement with Embraer SA, the first Brazilian company to enter into an agreement with authorities Brazilian and North American simultaneously.His experience also includes representing clients at all stages of internal investigations, risk assessments focused on anti-corruption, implementing customized compliance programs, pre-acquisition due diligence, compliance training, monitoring and testing internal controls.Erica was recognized as a leading Compliance lawyer in Brazil by Chambers, and was recognized by Global Investigations Review as one of the “100 Women in Investigations” and also in the “40 under 40 investigations” ranking that lists the 40 lawyers under 40 years of age prominence in the world. Erica has over 10 years of experience working with Compliance issues.Before founding the Maeda, Ayres & Sarubbi office, Erica was a partner in an international office, in which she was responsible for leading several complex cases. Before that, Erica worked in the Compliance Department of an American multinational company in Chicago, where she had the opportunity to assist in the implementation of a global compliance program.Erica is a licensed lawyer in Brazil (2005) and New York (USA - 2009).
