Director, AlixPartners, LLP
[email protected]

Eric Deichmann has 15 years of restructuring and consulting experience, including significant work in commercial aviation and related industries. He has performed a wide variety of fleet and network planning projects for airlines around the world, and has worked with rotorwing operators on mergers and acquisitions and contract profitability efforts.

Among many other engagements, Eric has led whole company turnaround planning for a major airline in the Middle East, whose state owner needed to reduce its subsidy, developed a sophisticated damages model supporting a client’s successful Chapter 11-related litigation against a potential investor-turned-competitor, and helped the board of directors of a start-up low-cost carrier avoid a value-destructive Chapter 11 filing.

Prior to joining AlixPartners, Eric was an analyst at a hedge fund focused on distress investing. He covered bank debt and bonds of transportation and shipping companies. Prior to that, he worked at ICF Aviation, consulting for airlines, airport authorities, investors and government authorities. Eric has an MBA from Columbia Business School and is a CFA charterholder.
