Emily joined Latin Lawyer’s news team in October 2019. She has covered deal-making throughout Latin America through news articles and data analysis and takes a keen interest in the latest trends in the region. Before joining Latin Lawyer, she received a BA in Spanish and French from the University of Birmingham, during which time she also studied at Universidad de Granada in Spain and Aix-Marseille Université in the south of France. There, she gained journalism experience as Editor-in-Chief of languages-focused student magazine The Linguist, whilst also covering current events and investigations as a news reporter for university newspaper Redbrick. Before attending university, she set up a magazine encouraging local students to write as part of a Young Journalists initiative and gained work experience at regional newspaper Express & Star. She speaks Spanish and French.
