Carolina Posada Isaacs co-chairs the dispute resolution practice group at Posse Herrera Ruiz, focusing on national and international arbitration, as well as judicial proceedings. She has more than 25 years of experience, specialising in contractual liability, torts, damages, insurance and reinsurance.
She qualified as a lawyer from the University of the Sabana, holds a postgraduate degree in liability and damages from the Externado University of Colombia and was admitted to practise in Colombia in 1997.
Carolina has acted as arbitrator before Colombia’s main arbitration centres, the Dispute Resolution Chamber of the Colombian Football Federation, the Superintendency of Corporations, AMCHAM Peru and CIAM. She is a member of the ICC Colombian Arbitration Commission, the Latin American Arbitration Association (ALARB), and has acted as an expert on Colombian law before United States courts.
Carolina is recognised by Chambers and Partners as a Band 1 lawyer in dispute resolution. The Legal 500 and Best Lawyers consider her as a leader in arbitration and litigation. Who’s Who Legal has listed her as a future leader in arbitration and Benchmark Litigation has included her within the ‘Top 25 Lat-Am Women in Litigation’. In 2019, she received the award for best litigator in Latin America from Euromoney Legal Group.
