Anna Carolina Malta Spilborghs is a partner in BMA’s financial and capital markets and its compliance, investigation and enforcement practice areas. With more than 20 years’ experience, she advises national and international clients, especially companies, financial institutions, investment funds and fund managers, on matters related to capital markets, financing and investment in general, public and private placement of securities, and debt restructurings.
Aligned with a solid global strategy of risk mitigation, Anna Carolina is also directly involved in compliance matters, advising both national and international clients on the conduct of corporate investigations (anti-corruption and internal fraud), due diligence procedures, identification and management of risks, legal opinions, and design and implementation of compliance programmes.
Anna Carolina specialised in finance and capital markets at the Fundação Getúlio Vargas (1999) and obtained her LLM from the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro (1997).
