Ms Melo graduated with honours from Universidad Católica Andrés Bello and holds an LLM from New York University. She has extensive experience in M&A and has participated in some of the most important transactions of the Peruvian market in recent years. Most recently, she participated in the sale of Calaminon Group to Cintac Chile for US$70 million; Familia Group’s acquisition of Productos Sancela for US$37 million; the recapitalisation of Enfoca funds by CPPIB and Goldman Sachs for US$1 billion; Corporación Sapia’s acquisition of Cognitiva (IBM); the sale of Tacna Solar, a company focused on renewable energy located in southern Peru, by Tawa Solar Funds to Pantac Holdco, a subsidiary of Solarpack; the sale of Celima’s (the largest producer of ceramic tile in Peru) tile fixing business to Saint Gobain for US$70 million; the acquisition by Arca Continental of the remaining stake of Corporación Lindley for US$506 million and the sale of Stracon GyM to Ashmore for US$77 million.
Furthermore, Ms Melo’s work has been recognised by international publications such as The Legal 500 and she is ranked as Rising Star by the international publication Transactional Track Record-TTR (2019).
