Mr de la Piedra has extensive experience in M&A, corporate and innovation matters. He graduated with honours from University of Lima Law School and holds an MBA from IE Business School in Madrid, Spain.
He is a well-known attorney in the Peruvian market, who has advised on numerous transactions, being the most relevant the acquisition by Arca Continental of the remaining stake of Corporación Lindley for US$ 506 million; Capital Square Partners’ acquisition of Aegis Ltd of Essar Group for US$300 million; CSAV’s container business merger with Hapag-Lloyd for US$ 323 million; the sale of Tacna Solar and Panamericana Solar (renewable energy projects) by Tawa Solar Fund to Solarpack for US$52 million, DSM’s acquisition of Alicorp’s Omega 3 processing plant for US$53 million; the sale of Stracon GyM to Ashmore for US$77 million; the acquisition by Familia Group of Productos Sancela for US$40 million, among others.
Furthermore, Mr de la Piedra has been recognised by Chambers and Partners Global and Latin America as a Leading Individual and Associate to Watch during 2015, 2016 y 2017 and as a Leading Lawyer in corporate/M&A in Leaders League 2019.
He is a professor at the University of Lima and Universidad de Piura Law Schools, as well as a regular columnist of business and innovation matters in local newspapers.
