Mr Olaya is a one of the most renowned attorneys in Peru, ranked Band 1 in corporate/M&A by Chambers and Partners, Leading Individual in corporate/M&A by The Legal 500 and Leading Lawyer by Leaders League 2019. He has handled the most important deals closed in Peru, such as the acquisition by Arca Continental of Corporación Lindley´s remaining shares for US$506 million; the CPPIB and Goldman Sachs deal to recapitalise Enfoca funds for US$1 billion; Arca Continental’s merger between its beverage business in Mexico and South America with the beverage business from The Coca-Cola Company in southern USA for US$700 million locally and US$2.3 billion globally. 

Most recently, he participated in the sale of Celima’s (the largest producer of ceramic tile in Peru) tile fixing business to Saint Gobain for US$70 million; the sale of Tacna Solar, a company focused on renewable energy located in southern Peru, by Tawa Solar Funds to Pantac Holdco, a subsidiary of Solarpack and the sale of Todinno, a well know Peruvian producer of bread and cakes, to Molitalia, a subsidiary of the Chilean Carozzi, one of the largest conglomerates in Latin America’s food industry for US$53 million.

Additionally, Mr Olaya is a permanent fixture in legal and news outlets in Peru, as a permanent legal columnist for El Comercio (the largest newspaper in Peru) and a regular contributor on corporate and managerial matters for Semana Económica (most important corporate magazine in Peru), as well as Gestión (main business newspaper in Peru), among others.
