About the Author
Antonio is a tax partner for the Central American region. He is responsible of the tax controversy and transaction tax practices of EY in Central America. He is both a CPA and an attorney. He is based in Costa Rica.
His experience includes over 25 years in tax law and tax planning. His expertise includes financial and tax planning, tax controversy, and transactions including mergers and acquisitions, strategic alliances, joint ventures, restructurings and financing.
The main sectors he has participated in are: medical, real estate, hospitality, banking and financial institutions, utilities, infrastructures, energy, oil and gas, agribusiness, automotive, airlines, automotive, food distribution, industry and non-profit entities.
Antonio holds a master’s in international law applied to business from the Stetson University College of Law (Tampa, Florida). He also has bachelors in law and business administration with emphasis in Accounting from the University of Costa Rica.
