César De La Parra Bello, an attorney-at-law, graduated from the Universidad Iberoamericana (UIA) in 2006, with a degree in law (JD equivalent). He completed a master’s degree in tax law with a certificate in International Taxation at Georgetown University Law Center.
He joined Chevez Ruiz Zamarripa in 2002 and was admitted to the partnership on 1 January 2015. He has 16 years of experience practicing litigation and tax controversy as well as managing procedures initiated by federal and local tax authorities related to federal and local taxes, involving transfer pricing, financial system, corporate restructuring and anti-money laundering.
He participated in constitutional legal remedies challenging the unconstitutionality of several Mexican tax laws before the Supreme Court of Justice. Before joining the tax controversy and litigation practice, rendered tax advisory for mergers and acquisitions, capital markets, securitisations, structure finance, new financial products and cross-border transactions.
He is an active member of the International Fiscal Association (IFA), Asociación Nacional de Abogados de Empresa (ANADE), and Colegio de Contadores Públicos (CCPM).
He was a tax law professor at Centro de Investigación y Docencia Económicas, AC (CIDE) from August 2008 to June 2012, teaching tax and administrative courses, as well as tax law to law students.
