About the Author
Paulo is a partner at Mattos Filho and focuses his practice on matters related to technology, intellectual property and telecommunication, as well as antitrust, litigation and arbitration. He assists domestic and foreign companies from virtually all economic sectors. He earned a full professor of law degree (Livre Docente) from Pontificia Universidade Católica de São Paulo, where he teaches commercial law. He was the president of the Brazilian Association of Information Technology and Communications Law (ABDTIC) and a former director of the Brazilian Committee of Arbitration (CBAr) and the legal committee of the Brazil-Spain Chamber of Commerce in Brazil. He is a current member and co-director of the committee in data protection of the International Technology Law Association (ITechLaw), in which he acted for six years as a member of the management committee and three years as the president of the membership committee for South America.
